“Hollywood in Vienna” invites this year an unforgettable concert trip to the fantastic expanses of space.
The music to “2001: A Space Odyssey” brings us in the space and allows us to experience his infinite Dimension. “Interstellar”, between the stars, we fall into the infamous global “Star Wars”, from which saves us the Enterprise from “Star Trek” , and brings us into musical galaxies that has never seen a human before. In “Contact” we receive signals from alien life forms and a “uncanny encounter of the Third Kind” allows a motif pentatonic communication. Finally we fullfill E.T. desire to call home.

A Tribute to Alexandre Desplat
In the second part of the concert is the composer of the new “Star Wars – Rogue One” film, the Oscar and Golden Globe winner Alexandre Desplat, honored with the “Max Steiner Movie Music Achievement Award”. His atmospheric and evocative soundscapes from “Harry Potter,” “Twilight,” “The King’s Speech”, “The Imitation Game” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” levitate us as if through the universe. This evening will be lead by Steven Gätjen a Hollywood film expert.
